Burchell MacDougall LLP was founded in Truro, Nova Scotia in 1944 by Wilfred Burchell and R. Lorne MacDougall, and, as we celebrate 75 years in 2019, we are one of the oldest and most established law firms in Nova Scotia.
Over the years, our firm’s size and scope of activity has continually expanded.
In 1984, the firm opened an office in Halifax, and has since opened two more offices, in Wolfville and Elmsdale.
We have close to 30 lawyers providing legal services to clients throughout Nova Scotia and Atlantic Canada.
Our large and varied client base reflects our longstanding commitment to providing a full range of legal services, built upon sound, reliable and reasoned legal advice.
